Spiritual Director
Fr. Dennis Chriszt, C.PP.S. has recently (Fall 2026) completed training as a spiritual director through the Bon Secour Spiritual Direction Institute near Baltimore. He is available to meet with people who want to examine their own spiritual life or their relationship with God.
Spiritual Direction has a centuries old history and can be found in many faith traditions. Spiritual direction is a process guided by the Holy Spirit in which two people enter into a unique conversation. The spiritual director or guide is trained to listen in a particular way to hear where God is present and acting in the life of another. This “holy listening” approaches each person’s life and story as sacred.
Fr. Dennis offers the opportunity for you to meet with a spiritual director in a private space at St. Charles Center or the Spiritual Center of Maria Stein, both are located in Mercer County (West-Central) Ohio - about an hour north of Dayton, OH. He may be able to accompany you on your spiritual journey. Compassionate and confidential care is provided so that you can discuss where you are on your journey and where God desires you to be.
Some people meet with a spiritual director on a regular basis (about once a month) and enjoy doing so. Others enjoy meeting with a director when they are on retreat a few times throughout the year.
